Lesson on having a sense of urgency and patience — Ryan Wexelblatt, LCSW

Because kids with ADHD have difficulty feeling the passage of time many do not have a sense of urgency when needed which can be very frustrating to their families. Others can being impatient with others yet get very upset when others become impatient with them.

Due to their difficulty with perspective taking they don't always understand how they're doing the same thing to other people that bothers them when people do it to them (rushing them or becoming impatient with them).

I did this lesson during camp to teach using self-directed talk around having a sense of urgency and also having patience. Video on lesson coming soon.
